An old Arizona town
Soldiers on horseback from Fort McDowell settled Cave Creek in 1870, and prospectors found gold there in 1873. The town incorporated in 1986. At about 2,553 feet it runs cooler than the lower Valley, and in 2020 about a third of residents lived in rural areas.
Rural lots
On a larger desert parcel, utility runs and driveways get longer, and native plant decisions come up early. See trenching and desert lot clearing.
Permits
