Large lots, mountain views
The town incorporated on May 24, 1961. Mummy Mountain sits at its center and Camelback Mountain on its southern border. After World War II the area was settled on lots of one to five acres, and it's known for large lots, golf courses and resorts. Big lots tend to mean big projects: pools, guest houses, long utility runs and drainage across the property.
Permits
Paradise Valley issues its own permits, so ask the town what your grading or pool project needs. It's in Maricopa County, where disturbing 0.10 acre or more needs a county dust control permit.
